District Governor’s Message
As July closes and August begins, I want you to "jump ahead" and think about July of
next year. I want you to imagine what you will have accomplished during this year.
Think about what you will have done, personally, to change the lives of children. Think
about what you will have given to others, through your participation in Rotary, be it in
time, talent and/or treasure. Think about how you will feel about being a Rotarian, a
member of your Rotary Club and part of the best service organization in the world.
Think about how you will have impacted humanity. Are you satisfied with what you've
imagined? Will you be satisfied with your Rotary accomplishments, your Rotary work,
and your Rotary service? Will you be able to say "I am not a RINO... I am a Rotarian"
and if so, can you imagine what a wonderful feeling that will give you?
Yes, being a Rotarian is what I call "good stuff" meaning even you get something out
of it; but even more important, it is a gift to all of humanity. Plan now how you will be
that gift today and throughout this Rotary year!
Yours, In Rotary Service,
District Governor Mary Berge
