GOVERNOR’S CRYSTAL CITATION
Due by: April 15, 2008 Submit to DG Gwen Ridgley
This is a special award given to outstanding clubs. It is designed to be challenging yet
achievable by all Clubs in our District. This award will be presented at the District
Conference 2008.
ALL BULLET POINTS MUST BE ACHIEVED
Achieve a Presidential Citation.
Foundation Giving: $100 per club member to the Foundation
COMMUNITY SERVICE:
Participate in Food Bank project (document). This could include working at your
local Food Bank, a Fresh Express or monetary gift.
Participate in a community service project promoting literacy (document)
CLUB SERVICE
Eight Rotary Programs presented in your club and they must include YE, GSE,
Foundation and Membership. Document the speaker or video and note the date.
Membership: Net gain in membership of 1 by March 15, 2008
Public Image: Promote your club’s activities or members at least 5 times in your
community.
Newspaper articles and other forms of documentation must accompany
application.
VOCATIONAL SERVICE
Participate in a Vocational Program. This could include job shadowing, member
talks, mentoring in schools (document)
INTERNATIONAL SERVICE
Participate in a World Community Service Project. You may choose one of those
listed by the District or something of your own. (document)
Youth Exchange:
Host or sponsor a Rotary Exchange student in 2007-08 or in 2008-09 (signed
commitment to host or sponsor). If not hosting or sponsoring, invite a Rotary
Exchange student to speak at least twice at your meetings. (document)
FOUNDATION
One new Benefactor for the Permanent Fund.
