Considerations
TREASURE CHEST TICKETS:
Tickets for the “Treasure Chest” Prize that will be awarded at District
Conference are now on sale! Please contact your Assistant Governor
to purchase tickets, if that individual has not already contacted your
club. Requested Donation: $10.00 each. Prize will be awarded on Saturday evening,
May 3, 2008. You do not have to be present to win. Non-Rotarians can purchase
tickets, as well. This fundraiser will benefit The Rotary Foundation.
GSE WELCOME RECEPTION FOR DISTRICT 4870 TEAM:
Tuesday Evening, April 15, 2008, 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Reception will be held at
Speers Community Center, 300 Phillips St., Charleroi, PA. Attendance at this event
counts as attendance at a district-wide affair in fulfillment of the requirements for the
“Shining Star Award”.
SEMI –ANNUAL DUES PAYMENTS (R.I.):
All clubs were asked to remit balances for the second half of Rotary Year 2007-2008 to
Rotary International by the end of March, 2008. Has your club taken care of this? Don’t
forget the Semi-Annual Report (SAR) must accompany your payment. The completed
SAR determine the amount your club will be invoiced by R. I.
DISTRICT DUES PAYMENTS:
District Dues (second half) are now payable. District Secretary/Treasurer William “Bill
Blaney has mailed invoices to all clubs. Please remit amount due as soon as possible.
A couple of clubs still owe balance from the first half of the year!
FROM THE DISTRICT CONFERENCE PLANNING COMMITTEE:
The committee requests that you register for all events you plan to attend. We must
know how many meals to tell the Resort Staff to prepare for, etc. Please do not come to
District Conference with the idea you will be able to attend a particular meal, if you have
not previously mailed in your Registration Form and the correct amount of money.
