By the time it’s completed, the school
will cost more than US$150,000, and
additional funds will be needed to
sustain it.
The 17-member Duxbury club has
raised more than $100,000 so far. “My
club is very supportive,” Jan says. “We
had two big fundraisers for this project,
in 2005 and in 2007, and they both were
very successful.” The fundraisers
included a program with a book signing

Aman, a silent auction and a gourmet

Westmoreland Club Sponsors Art Auction
On May 1, we will be holding an Art Auction at the Palace Theater in Greensburg from
6:00 til 9:00. We have secured donations from over 20 local artists. They range from a
"30 x "40 Our Father photo of the Steelers praying before the New England game
donated by Duane Rieder to a 4'x4' original painting from Phil Rostek, Associate
professor of drawing and Painting at Seton Hill University. We have photos and jewelry
from up and coming artists, sculptures and many different art forms. Local caterers
have donated their "art" for us to snack on and there will be a cash bar available. We
are trying to have something for everyone. Our club is sharing the proceeds with
Clelian Heights School for Exceptional Students. Clelian Heights is a non-profit,
educational, residential and vocational facility for children and adults with developmental
disabilities. I would like to personally invite you to come to the auction and support our
organizations. It is a great opportunity to encourage our local artistic community and
support some worthy local causes. (See next page)
