United Nations Representative to Speak at Conference
Romain Alphonse Kohn, Public Information Support Advisor with
the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian
Affairs (OCHA) will be presenting the keynote talk at the
Foundation Luncheon on Saturday.
His topic wil be:
THE UN SYSTEM - HOW IT WORKS, AND ITS ROLE IN HUMANITARIAN AFFAIRS
He will also be discussing how people can be displaced inside their own country and will
include information on malnutrition and food aid.
The Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve Joins with
Mountain View Rotary to Clean Litter along Beatty
Cross Road
Twenty two students from the Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve at Saint Vincent College
and their faculty advisor, Beth Bollinger joined with the members of the Mountain
View Rotary Club to clean litter from
Beatty Cross Road from Route 981
junction to Route 30 junction Saturday
morning. The Mountain View Rotary
Club has been conducting this annual
community service project for many
years in collaboration with the Saint
Vincent College, in the month of Earth
Day Celebration to inspire awareness of
and appreciation for the Earth’s
environment. The Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve is a 50-acre sanctuary for plants,
wildlife and research.

participating in his first Rotary service project.
