2007 “STRIKE OUT FOR HUNGER”:
Proceeds from the 2007 Strike Out For Hunger were: $332.00. Other contributions
received were $368.00, for a total of $700.00. A 100 contribution was made to each of
the following organizations:
� FCCAA Food Bank & Commodity Supplemental Food Program – Uniontown, PA
� Westmoreland County Food Bank - Delmont, PA
� Greater Washington County Food Bank - Eighty-Four, PA
� Tableland Services, Inc. - Somerset, PA
� Food For Families Food Bank - Johnstown, PA
� I.C.C.A.P. - Indiana, PA
� Corner Cupboard Food Bank - Waynesburg, PA
FOUNDATION CONTRIBUTIONS:
I am overwhelmed by our District’s generosity!
To date, approximately $155,000 (and counting) has been
contributed to the Annual Programs Fund, $100,000 to the
Permanent Fund, and at least $6,500 to the Gates
Foundation Polio Challenge.
The year started out “a bit shaky”. The total for all Goal Report Forms was only
$102,000, but you all didn’t let your Governor be disappointed! There are still
contributions that have not been reported. This is the last week for clubs to forward
contributions to The Rotary Foundation, for it to be credited toward the 2007-2008 year.
What a GREAT year! Stand up and take a bow! I can’t thank you all enough!!!
